Excited? Of course! This is in fact my first Apple product I ever purchased. The package opening was almost like a religious ritual, I was recording every step mentally and photographically. I treated with caution and awe. I have to admit, so far everything has been beautiful!

Initially I did want to purchase a black one. But then it seemed to me scratches will be more noticeable on black, so I changed my mind and went ahead got the white one.

You have just been replaced by the nano ^_^;. Remember to add a lot of photos to it, so when you see us we can see the photos. Actually, just leave it at our place for a few days would be easier…

Sweet purchase, George. I want one of these really bad. I had initially decided on getting just the Shuffle, but heck, look at it! The nano is a beautiful piece of music blasting goodness.

I guess it all depends on your needs. So far, I am pretty happy with mine. It’s true that it’s very vulnerable to scratches, so I bought some clear protective films, and I am very satisfied with the protection.

Do you know what the thing on the right of the last pic is? I haven’t found a use for it.
thanks for the advice, i’ll get some ‘protection’ for my nano. Don’t want it to get all scratched.

Never really used myself, but I think it’s just a holder to hold Nano vertically.

I bit the bullet & got an iPod video (30GB) myself. It’s super nice. The only gripe I have with it is when I need to update files on it.
Say for example I’ve updated ID3 tags on files in my library & would like to have those updates show up on the iPod. The only way I’ve found to do it is to delete the files on the iPod & then copy over the new files. I’ve tried using the syncing functions with iTunes, but in that case to create playlists on the iPod, I need to create them on iTunes & then sync them over which is a bit cumbersome.
I’m still looking for the right combination.
