Believe it or not, it is not a joke. Surprised? You are not alone. I felt the same when my co-worker told me about this. Apparently, the vending machines have been around for quite awhile. I probably just missed the news. The story posted on Boing Boing is dated in May of last year, and on Gizmodo is dated in October of last year.
But according to my brief research, they are not prevalent. Sightings of these machines occurred at Atlanta Airport, San Francisco International Airport and Vons supermarket in La Jolla. Now, I need to find out which Vons in La Jolla.

In the US? I thought you were going to say “Japan”. If you said Japan, I wouldn’t be surprised, considering the things they have offered in vending machines now and in the past.
Only in Japan where you can get coffee, a full meal and used women’s panties all in one pit stop! *snicker*

Hi everyone.
What's a good alternative to the IPOD?
I'm wondering if any of you can recommend a good MP3 player that is comparable to the IPod but WITHOUT they hype and price tabe to go with it.
I was at the apple store a few days ago, and really liked the new 40GB or 80GB IPods that also show video, but was wondering if I could get the same kind of funcationality without that heftly price tag.
