To users who visited my blog last night, apparently the site was down due to a database error. I got home late last night around 10pm, and when I checked Wooden Fish I got a MySQL database error with error code 28. I searched for more information in WordPress support forum, and I found out the following:
Error code 28: No space left on device
This is a MySQL error and has nothing to do with Word Press directly; you should contact your host about it.
There are also some discussion threads regarding this problem. So immediately I contacted my hosting company, and I have to say their response time is fast. This morning I got an e-mail from the system administrator and I was notified that the problem has been fixed. Now everything seems to be working just fine.
I know many of my visitors also use WordPress for their blog, for instance NIMA and Shawn, so this might be a bit of helpful information for them in the future. To me, this is truly a wonderful learning experience; you learn something new every day.

thanks for the heads up on this bud. I have to say that I still use WordPress 1.0.2, so would you possibly know if this problem can be seen in this previous version as well?

From my understanding, it is not really a problem of WordPress. Therefore regardless the version number, you will have this problem if the database resting on your server somehow screw up.
I think if I understand correctly the error is complaining that your database is out of space.

Indeed, thanks for the links to the discussions buddy. Hope you don’t see another one of those for awhile, and I hope I don’t see one at all!
