So when 9rules revealed the acceptance list on Saturday, I was disappointed to find out that again I did not make it this year. But the good news is I made into the rejection list at CounterJumper, so that’s some consolation.

9rules seems to accept blogs with a unique template. Not variations. Thats what I\’ve noticed. You might want to try doing that.

I disagree, many accepted blogs use K2 as their template.

I’m on the CounterJumper list too haha! Well, if you don’t try you never know isn’t it? I agree with George, I don’t think they bother too much about the template as long as its pleasant. There were even two wordpress.com blogs.
I was a little surprised at some of the sites accepted though. There are some great blogs in that list, but some were pretty lacklustre imo. At least one thing the submission round’s taught me is to focus my content. I’ve removed design-related entries on my personal blog and placed them at designasides.com, where I’ll be blogging about design in the future!

Incidentally, the design at my new blog was based on K2.

I agree with you weisheng, some of the accepted blogs are not that great, still don’t know how they judge each site.
