Design Change and Health

The update of Wooden Fish’s design began on Tuesday night. The new layout is primarily inspired by the design of Bartelme Design. Waking up on Wednesday morning, I found myself with a swollen throat and later of the day I got a minor fever. I decided to stay home and rest. In the afternoon, I felt a bit better, so I worked some more on Wooden Fish, and also updated WordPress to version 2.2 “Getz”. I think the majors parts of the design are done and completed, more tweaking on the minor details will be expected in upcoming days. I hope you like the new layout, and please report back to me if you find any bugs or errors. Today, I am feeling a bit better; at least the fever is gone. However, I am still feeling weak and I still got a swollen throat. I hope that I can recover soon.

Awesome design! I really admire you for sticking to the single column format. One of these days you should do a write up that illustrated all the versions of Wooden Fish since the beginning, I know you keep screenshots on Flickr!

Thanks for the compliment Andrew! For some reason, I am stuck with the single column layout. I find it simple and balanced.

I like Andrew’s idea of showing the progression from each design of the site. I’ve actually thought about doing something like that with my site.

Good job. I like it.
A minor thing I noticed is that the inactive menu color is a bit too dark on my monitor, which makes it pretty hard to see clearly the menu options.

Thanks kingler for the comment! I’ve changed the menu text to complete black, I hope that helps the readability of the text. Check it out, and let me know if it is readable for you now.
