I never heard of this movie until I saw it on Apple’s Movie Trailers‘ page. Judging purely from the trailer, the film is powerful and the central theme speaks to me in a personal manner. I think perhaps everyone has had this kind of wild thought at one point in their lives, the thought of leaving everything behind and becoming a lonely wanderer without any possession. In loneliness and in nature, one can finally get to know the self better and more clear. This is the true story of Christopher McCandless. Apparently, this Sean Penn directed film is an adaptation of the book by Jon Krakauer. Now, I think I will pick up a copy of the book before I see this film.
On a happier note, I found the trailers of Death at a Funeral and Get Smart quite comical. If you have a chance, check out the trailers. Especially if you are having a rough day at work or plainly just having a bad day, maybe dysfunctional family in Death at a Funeral and the silly Maxwell Smart can manage to cheer you up a little.

Yea I saw this as well, it looks cool but nothing too special. Looks like some sort of prehistorical story.

I just looked at the trailer again. I guess the first
time I saw into the Wild I didn’t think much of it. Now it
seems exciting I was able to find this description on the
book which is very interesting. But its a huge spoiler so
read at your own discretion

Cool! Thanks for the link! This is the article that Jon Krakauer wrote before the book.
