Finally this movie came back to a movie theater near my work, and without much hesitation I went and watched the movie last night right after work. I know the movie is probably not for everyone, because some of my friends who watched did not think highly about the movie. However, I truly enjoyed it. Of course, having read the book before going in the movie theater really helped me appreciate the movie. As his baby project, I think Sean Penn did great. The movie is filled with beautiful scenes of American landscape, like another reviewer said “it is a meandering love letter to the American Wilderness”. Indeed, it is. Most important of all, Sean Penn stayed close to the book. Emile Hirsch also did a good job acting as Christopher McCandless, poor guy probably had to lose a lot of weight in a short time for the last part of the film. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a film that could potentially shock the core of one’s existence, this is the movie that would do that, primarily because of the story of Chris. Finally, let me share a quote from the movie with you: “Happiness is only real when is shared.”

I have a feeling that the review about this movie will be immediate. I’m right! I really enjoy the movie as well. It not only portrays story of Chris McCandless but truly brings the audience into the wild, into the nature. I adore the scene when he is running with a herd of horses as if he is one of them.
