Simple Pleasure

Sometimes, it does not take a lot to make yourself happy, to enjoy a moment of spiritual serenity. I woke up late today, I enjoyed a good night of sleep. After waking up, I brewed some coffee, then vacuumed my room. Then, I lit a scented candle in my room. What is the smell of the candle? Angel Whispers. What a poetic name! With a cup of coffee on my table, I started reading an article about an author traveling to Island of Skye. I let the words carry my mind, and together with the author I walked on Scottish Highland, I saw the dense fog, I felt the wind blowing on my face and witnessed the vast emptiness between sky and land. Just like that, I felt at ease and everything in life once more looked more amiable, more peaceful and more bearable. This is the simple pleasure of an afternoon reading.
