I can’t believe I forgot to mention it here. Well, I guess I am so busy toying with it that I forgot to share the news. So, here is the announcement: I bought a new MacBook Pro on March 1st, finally made my upgrade from PowerBook to an Intel-based MacBook Pro. Just to be clear on this, I did not buy the latest MacBook Pro that comes with the Multi-Touch trackpad, instead I bought the previous generation. Why? Simply because I don’t want to spend over $2000 on a laptop. I got the 2.2 GHz one with Apple Remote running Leopard 10.5.2. So far, the experience has been superb. Everything runs faster and the performance boost is definitely noticeable. Now, I need to purchase a sleeve and eventually expand the memory to 4GB. For sleeves, I saw this one on RadTech, anyone got a review? For memory, I am planning to purchase them at OWC, is this a reliable store? Leave me a comment if you have any information or opinion on these.

For the sleeves I highly recommend tribbes.com. I have one & couldn’t be happier with it. For the ram I upgraded to 4GB from Crucial.com & also recommend them: they’re owned by Micron so won’t disappear anytime soon & they have a very good warranty on the ram parts they sell.
PS. your first link doesn’t work.

Thanks Didou for your recommendations! I like tribbes very much, unfortunately they are a bit too pricy for me. BTW, I fixed the link, so if you still wanna see the sleeve, take a look.

I agree with Didou. Since my friend is working in memory industry for over 5 years, he also recommends crucial which is suppose to be the best. You can get the crucial memory from newegg, frys other than crucial.com

I’ve ordered from OWC many times and have been very happy with them… Prompt shipping most brands available and great customer support. Also they have some very good prices.
